A polite word for a man according to my mobile dictionary. Now a days, only few sightings of this creatures can be seen around. One who offers seats in bus or train to a woman, assists as elderly to cross the street, doing household chores when his wife is incapable of doing them, showing respect to women, slow to anger, patient and not rude or simply being "gentle".
Hmmm.. Why am i discussing this issue? One day, on my way going back to makati, I rode a bus and fell asleep, when i woke up i saw a grandma carrying her grandchild standing inside the bus. It was because all seats are taken. i had no second thoughts, i stood up and offered my seat. Well, it's not a heroic act for others but for me, act of random kindness can make a difference.
What happened to Mr. Nice guy? Maybe the society is embracing the equality between men and women. Having said that, I'm not telling that all guys are lacking of politeness, there are some few that are willing to take the plunge.
You don't have to be tall, dark and handsome to be a gentleman. But again act of random kindness can make a difference.
